Introducing Joyce Farms Naked Grass Fed Beef. We call our beef Naked because of all the thing we have not added. That means nothing is added EVER. No hormones, no antibiotics, no pesticides, no preservatives, no animal by-products or artificial ingredients are added. Our cattle eat only their natural diet which is grass and forages. They graze contentedly on small farms and ranches in the most natural prairie and pasture environments. Joyce Farms Naked Grass Fed Beef is beef as Mother Nature made it.

Why Naked tastes better? We choose our cattle from the very best heritage stock and every animal is always traceable back to its origin. At every stage we nurture our cattle in the customs of heritage ranching. They eat the purest all grass diet that includes no grains, only plants and roughage. Our grass fed cattle grow and mature at their own pace, nourished in the finest traditions held for centuries.

Why Naked is more humane? We raise our free range cattle on small family farms and ranches where they graze, stress free on open prairies, pastures, and meadows. Never raised in Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO). Grass is the natural food for cattle, not corn. Feeding them their natural diet keeps them stronger and healthier. What’s more, we are proud to meet the highest industry standards for humane handling and safety set by Dr. Temple Grandin.

Why Naked is environmentally friendly? Environmental benefits abound. Inspired by the way buffalo grazed the plains for centuries, we employ a technique called mob grazing, where we rotate our herds. This means they feed in each pasture only once every 90 to 150 days. We fertilize our pastures naturally letting our cattle put the nutrients back into the soil. Grass being a perennial, our system does not require enormous amounts of energy to grow the corn and grain needed to finish cattle in a commodity system. No fossil fuels are burned planting, processing and shipping grain. These methods continuously revitalize our pastures allowing Mother Nature’s tools of sunlight, water and soil time to work their magic.

Why Naked is Healthier? Our cattle are not only healthier themselves, but their meat is healthier for you to eat and serve. Compared to grain-fed beef, a serving of Naked Grass Fed Beef has:

  • 1/3 less saturated fats
  • 2-6 times the cell boosting Omega 3 fatty acids
  • 3-5 times the Omega 7 which lower cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides
  • 2-3 times heart healthy and cancer inhibiting conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
